Recent medical studies have shown that adults both male and female have found that eyelid surgery-or blepharoplasty-has dramatically improved their quality of life. The procedure itself involved removing some of the excess tissue and fat from above a patient's eyes. This eliminates the drooping effect that is not only unattractive but can sometimes be a vision hindrance as well. As with all areas of the skin, the area above the eyes will lose some of its elasticity as a person gets older. When this happens, it can contribute to making the individual look tired and older, taking away the alert, youthful appearance they need to be attractive and viable in today's culture.
Although it would seem like common sense to say that people having a successful form of cosmetic surgery would find that it improves their lives, we know that things aren't always in line with what we term "common sense." Certainly, everyone has heard stories of those patients who have had cosmetic surgery only to have deep regrets about it later. This is why it is so important to make sure you are not only physically ready for a major procedure, but mentally ready to handle the consequences of a major change.
